Paul Cruvellier and son Robbie from Mount Royal, Canada, came onboard in November for some Largemouths and Peacocks bass.

The vacation excursion turn out to be an adventure to discover the South Florida Everglades and Miami urban lakes. We chased after peacock bass, larger-mouth bass and everything else that would bite. For me, the best part of the trip was teaching Robbie how to work a fly rod. The winds where blowing hard, but Robbie managed to work it pretty well and he will soon be mastering fly fishing.

What a exciting and great time we had together, Paul originally booked a 2-day Variety package trip. But after the second day he decided they had so much fun they wanted to spend the rest of their vacation fishing for largemouths and Peacock Bass in South Florida.

I had a great time teaching and catching bass with the Cruvellier Family and let me tell you, we caught a mess load of fish.

I am really looking forward to seeing these guys back in March, until then to the Cruvellier family happy holidays!
I wanted the guys to get the full ever glades experience, so we decided to do a little something different.

We spent the morning out on the marsh flats of the Everglades throwing topwater frogs and getting all kinds of action. It’s quite fun, you can see the fish roaming all over and chasing our baits down from 20 yards away. Mike Jr hooked up on a real good bass first thing and it got stuck in all the thick vegetation. By the time we got to the bass, it had shaken off (it was a good one).

The rest of the day was good, they caught 25 to 30 fish with the big one right at 5lbs. I had a blast with these to guys, I can see a great summer of fishing in South Florida.

So come on down and book a trip with me!

Good fishin,
Capt Tony
tonym@bassonline.com
888-629-2277
www.BassOnline.com
www.hawghunter.net
www.bassauthority.com
www.flpeacockbass.com

Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12961260234208635440noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25087559.post-14230598591951399032008-05-19T13:45:00.005-04:002008-05-22T13:52:31.390-04:00Everglade Bass Fishing Report WOW what a day, is almost all I can say…Today I had the great pleasure of fishing with Dustin & Sara from Utah. Dustin a avid fishermen for small mouth, King Salomon and heck he’ll fish for also anything that swims. Sara on the other hand said this was only here second time, but let tell you. If that’s the case, Dustin watch out after a few more trips..you may in up on the back of the boat because this girl can fish!

Dustin started out with topwater plugs with good success and Sara with soft plastics. They caught fish after fish, Sara held her own. Dustin would gain 3 or 4 and Sara would come back strong, Even taken the lead several times. Today we were in the Everglades, mainly looking for big trophy bass. Brian decided to fish with artificial lures and his choice of baits ranged from topwater to worms and everything in between. While his father decided to troll livebait and search for quality over quantity.

The morning started out fast, like most early morning bass fishing trip are suppose too. With both of them catching a few good bass, most of them ranged from 2-1/2 lbs to 4 lbs. Really good quality, then just like the day before Peacock bass fishing. Dad, hooks into a good size Florida trophy bass. This one was angry, man she put a fight. Under the trees, running deep to jumping. She was a good fight, weight in at 5.2lbs and release for another young angler to catch.

If you are ever in the area of Palm beach, Ft Lauderdale, Miami or Naples and would like to experience the Everglades, give me a call.

Tight Lines,
Capt Tony
tonym@bassonline.com
888-629-2277
www.BassOnline.com
www.hawghunter.net
www.bassauthority.com
www.flpeacockbass.comAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12961260234208635440noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25087559.post-24719461534925321562008-05-11T13:29:00.004-04:002008-05-11T13:38:20.999-04:00Everglades Fishing Corporate Get-a-way

Today May 9th, we had out several boats on a corporate outing for Barnes & Thornburg, a highly rated attorney group from all over the United States. We started around 2 pm and fished till almost dark. The day started a little slower then I would have liked, but did it ever finish strong. While we did catch several nice bass on plastics baits and topwater plugs the trophy Florida bass wanted a shiner.

The number of big, big bass were unbelievable, with all of the excitement we don’t have a count on the overall numbers of fish. But by the pictures it should give you a good idea of what we were catching. The biggest was over 7 lbs with several others over 6 lbs.

If your on a corporate trip or simply a vacation with the family and would like to get out for a few hours give me a call,

Capt. Mike is a die hard and man do I mean a die hard. Mike fished topwater lures for almost 10 hours today. It's more proof, almost any lure if fished hard all day will produce. Condition were anything but good for topwater, high pressure, back side of the moon and a bright blue bird day. Even with these conditions, I feel this is when a good fishing guide earns his money and proves he's not just a bass fishermen with a cool boat.

We took Mike deep into the Everglades, how deep? We never seen another boat or fishermen all day. The fishing was great, not fantastic. But for chunking and winding topwater plugs all day it was great. His favorite lure, the fire tiger pop-r did not getter done today and man did he try to make it work...haha. Looking through the hundreds of lures I had, we found a few of my old reliables that did the job quite well. Mike's day started out slow and finished strong, "slow and steady" Mike said to me. Besides the alligators, birds & deer we seen his most overwhelming experience was catching 3, 4, 5 & a 6 pound bass on topwater under these conditions with biggest bass coming at 12:15pm. Little to no wind, water temps nearly 80 degrees, "What a great place this is, a paradise for bass" said Mike.

You can read all about the Everglades Bass Fishing Adventures by visiting our websites or calling our toll number with questions you may have.

Good Fishing & Tight Lines,
Capt Todd
888-629-2277
www.BassOnline.com
www.hawghunter.net
www.bassauthority.com
www.flpeacockbass.comAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12961260234208635440noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25087559.post-1143758463603260842006-03-30T17:28:00.000-05:002006-03-30T17:41:03.613-05:00We truly enjoy taking anglers of all skill levels from beginner to expert out for an action packed fishing adventure in the Everglades. Anglers travel from all around the globe to vacation and fish in the unspoiled waters of the South Florida Everglades including the remote outpost of Everglades National Park and wildlife refuge. We fish in the unforgettable destinations where we'll catch fish and sight see for some of the most amazing species you have ever seen in one location.
The Everglades fishing is mostly done with fast moving baits, top water plugs, frogs, snakes, big worms, spoons and buzz baits, although plastic worms work well also. You see most of the strikes before they happen and the battle can be quite exhausting. Everglades fishing is like no where else in the world, the Florida Everglades is the largest remaining sub-tropical wilderness in the continental United States.
The Florida Everglades holds the state record for the highest number of fish caught per person, per hour of any fishery in the state. "Static's from the Florida fish and game wildlife department." When you consider all the great lakes and rivers in Florida that's impressive. So if your looking for action, you have found it. Our Florida fishing guides have the most experience and extensive knowledge in fishing the Everglades. Native to the area, our knowledge and service is second to none, just like our boats, rods & reels and tackle that you will be using. We guarantee it with our NO FISH, NO PAY policy!
The abundant wildlife includes rare and colorful birds, and is the only place in the world where alligators and crocodiles exist side by side. The Everglades covers several million miles of area and is a awesome place for bass fishing. It starts at the southern shore of Lake Okeechobee and extends south to the Florida Bay. Most of this entire area is completely covered by water most of the year and mainly consist of sawgrass and sloughs filled with lily pads and dry areas called hammocks. The majority of the Everglades fishing is accessible from self maid canals which perimeter most of the areas and are used to access the interior portion, where most of the bass fishing is done.
As you get deeper into the swamp the water becomes very shallow. You become surrounded with sawgrass, lily pads and wildlife and you have enter the home of the Florida Alligator, where he is free to pray and always watching your every move. Soon after catching your first fish you will become part of the birds, alligators and other wildlife as seen and heard by the deafening silence of mother nature.
Everglades fishing is very diverse, from the shallow back country grass flats, to the outside islands and canal systems. The water fluctuate in depth through out most of the year forcing us to fish the outer perimeter canal system, Although it may not sound as glamorous it can and has produced some of the best fishing adventures to date.

Tight lines,
Capt Todd Kersey
todd@bassonline.com
www.bassonline.com
888 629-BASSAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12961260234208635440noreply@blogger.com0
