Florida Everglades Fishing, Day 3 of 3

Evverglade bass fishingToday I had back, Mike Sr. & Jr for day 3 day of there Florida bass fishing experience. I wanted the guys to get the full ever glades experience, so we decided to do a little something different.

We spent the morning out on the marsh flats of the Everglades throwing topwater frogs and getting all kinds of action. It’s quite fun, you can see the fish roaming all over and chasing our baits down from 20 yards away. Mike Jr hooked up on a real good bass first thing and it got stuck in all the thick vegetation. By the time we got to the bass, it had shaken off (it was a good one).

The rest of the day was good, they caught 25 to 30 fish with the big one right at 5lbs. I had a blast with these to guys, I can see a great summer of fishing in South Florida.

So come on down and book a trip with me!

Everglade Bass Fishing Report

WOW what a day, is almost all I can say…Today I had the great pleasure of fishing with Dustin & Sara from Utah. Dustin a avid fishermen for small mouth, King Salomon and heck he’ll fish for also anything that swims. Sara on the other hand said this was only here second time, but let tell you. If that’s the case, Dustin watch out after a few more trips..you may in up on the back of the boat because this girl can fish!

Dustin started out with topwater plugs with good success and Sara with soft plastics. They caught fish after fish, Sara held her own. Dustin would gain 3 or 4 and Sara would come back strong, Even taken the lead several times. Bottom line, it was a great day of fishing in the Everglades for these two today.

The water today was in the 80’s, cloud cover off and on all day and even more so in the afternoon. A nice breeze came from the west keeping it very comfortable most of the time. After it was all said and done, I lost count but Dustin said, they top 125 Florida bass today.

I don’t think they know it yet, but theres going to be some sore arms tomorrow…but that’s a great ache to have!

If your in the area of the Everglades in South Florida and would like to get out and experience true Everglades bass fishing at it’s best! Remember, we also offer fishing in the Orlando area as well as Miami for the hard fighting Peacock bass.

Give me a call or email,

I look forward to talking fishing with you!

Everglades Bass Fishing at it's BEST!

Today I fished with old friends and long time clients, Corky & Sue from Coral Springs, FL.

Florida Everglades fishing Trip

We started out meeting at the tackle shop and off we went, after a few minutes catching up on old times and we were ready to start catching fish.

One of the great things about this couple is they just love being out in the Everglades, listing to the birds, taken pictures and telling stories. Sue said, "we just love how you always take us to different location and we always catch fish."

After launching the boat and a nice little drive out to the fishin hole, we geared up for what we though was going to be just another good fishing experience, but ended up being so much more.

Then after getting a few corks out of Corky's fishing pole, he hooked in to what could have been the biggest bass of the day. A average hook set and several hard runs on the drag, this one was swimming for another day! Ma21.jpgn you hate to see those get-a-way, but you can't hardly beat the stories they create. After a few "oh my god" and a good laugh, back to fishing we went.

Corky's bait choice for the day was a JDC's Gibroni. The weather was around 90, a brite blue bird with scattered clouds, winds out of the west (Nalpes) area. Water temp around 78, over all a great day to be on the water.

Corky landed around 20 bass today, the three largest ones were 7.75, 7.25 & 5.65. Not a bad day considering we were back at the tackle shop by 1 pm.

If your in the area of Naples or Ft Lauderdale and would like to get out and experience Everglades bass fishing at it's best!

Give me a call or email,

I look forward to talking fishing with you!

Father's & Son Everglades Fishing Trip

Today we had out Brian Pitell and his father for there second day of Florida fishing trip. Today we were in the Everglades, mainly looking for big trophy bass. Brian decided to fish with artificial lures and his choice of baits ranged from topwater to worms and everything in between. While his father decided to troll livebait and search for quality over quantity.

The morning started out fast, like most early morning bass fishing trip are suppose too. With both of them catching a few good bass, most of them ranged from 2-1/2 lbs to 4 lbs. Really good quality, then just like the day before Peacock bass fishing. Dad, hooks into a good size Florida trophy bass. This one was angry, man she put a fight. Under the trees, running deep to jumping. She was a good fight, weight in at 5.2lbs and release for another young angler to catch.

If you are ever in the area of Palm beach, Ft Lauderdale, Miami or Naples and would like to experience the Everglades, give me a call.

Everglades Fishing Corporate Get-a-way

Today May 9th, we had out several boats on a corporate outing for Barnes & Thornburg, a highly rated attorney group from all over the United States. It

barnesandthornburg-1.jpg

was time for these guys to sit back, relax and catch some big old Florida largemouth bass in the Everglades and that’s exactly what they did!

As most corporate outing, we have to build the fishing trip around the business meetings and today was no different. We started around 2 pm and fished till almost dark. The day started a little slower then I would have liked, but did it ever finish strong. While we did catch several nice bass on plastics baits barnesandthornburg.jpgand topwater plugs the trophy Florida bass wanted a shiner.

The number of big, big bass were unbelievable, with all of the excitement we don’t have a count on the overall numbers of fish. But by the pictures it should give you a good idea of what we were catching. The biggest was over 7 lbs with several others over 6 lbs.

If your on a corporate trip or simply a vacation with the family and would like to get out for a few hours give me a call,

Capt. Tony Masiello on my cell (954) 205-2535 or contact the office (888) 629-2277.

Another Successful Everglades Fishing Trip 5-6-2008

The Everglades fishing in Florida continues to be Florida bass fishing at it's best!.Today May 6th, we had out Mike Kozioll from Palos Parl, IL. Mike is a die hard and man do I mean a die hard. Mike fished topwater lures for almost 10 hours today. It's more proof, almost any lure if fished hard all day will produce. Condition were anything but good for topwater, high pressure, back side of the moon and a bright blue bird day. Even with these conditions, I feel this is when a good fishing guide earns his money and proves he's not just a bass fishermen with a cool boat.

We took Mike deep into the Everglades, how deep? We never seen another boat or fishermen all day. The fishing was great, not fantastic. But for chunking and winding topwater plugs all day it was great. His favorite lure, the fire tiger pop-r did not getter done today and man did he try to make it work...haha. Looking through the hundreds of lures I had, we found a few of my old reliables that did the job quite well. Mike's day started out slow and finished strong, "slow and steady" Mike said to me. Besides the alligators, birds & deer we seen his most overwhelming experience was catching 3, 4, 5 & a 6 pound bass on topwater under these conditions with biggest bass coming at 12:15pm. Little to no wind, water temps nearly 80 degrees, "What a great place this is, a paradise for bass" said Mike.
