Bass Fishing in Florida Everglades

I took out Pat and Cathy Braun from Chadd-Fort, Pennsylvania on October 2, 2009.

It was a electrifying & beautiful day trip in the Everglades. The Braun's boated around 15 bass from 1lb pound to 4lbs, you can tell by the smiles on the faces in the pictures, it was a lot of fun.

I had a great time with them and look forward to having them on board again when they return in the spring.

Till next time tight lines and good fishing….

Everglades Adventure for Florida Family!

The Villella’s, Frank and Tony are from South West Ranches in South Florida and go out a couple of times of year with me. They are a great group, always entertaining and we have a lot of fun on every trip.

Captain Brett and I had repeat customers again Sunday October 4, 2009, Villella Family a party of 5 to experience the ultimate Everglades Adventure.

It was a great day today, they caught a bunch of fish. The unexpected was the peacock bass, we boated countless peacocks in a short 4 hour trip. The family had three bass over 5lbs and few smaller ones that were in the three to four pound range.

A very exciting morning for everyone, who would have guested Peacocks bass in the Everglades a true South Florida fishing Adventure!.

Everglades Bass Fishing

On August 14 on-board with Eric & Jeremy, these guys drove from Central Florida just to fish the Everglades.

It was another short day on the water but a really good morning. The top water bite was okay, so we went to throwing slow falling plastic baits and working them very slow off the bottom.

The end result Eric and Jeremy drive was well worth it. They were eager anglers and learned the benfit to fishing slow.

The picture says it all!

Florida Everglades Fishing, Day 3 of 3

Evverglade bass fishingToday I had back, Mike Sr. & Jr for day 3 day of there Florida bass fishing experience. I wanted the guys to get the full ever glades experience, so we decided to do a little something different.

We spent the morning out on the marsh flats of the Everglades throwing topwater frogs and getting all kinds of action. It’s quite fun, you can see the fish roaming all over and chasing our baits down from 20 yards away. Mike Jr hooked up on a real good bass first thing and it got stuck in all the thick vegetation. By the time we got to the bass, it had shaken off (it was a good one).

The rest of the day was good, they caught 25 to 30 fish with the big one right at 5lbs. I had a blast with these to guys, I can see a great summer of fishing in South Florida.

So come on down and book a trip with me!

Good fishin,
Capt Tony

Everglade Bass Fishing Report

WOW what a day, is almost all I can say…Today I had the great pleasure of fishing with Dustin & Sara from Utah. Dustin a avid fishermen for small mouth, King Salomon and heck he’ll fish for also anything that swims. Sara on the other hand said this was only here second time, but let tell you. If that’s the case, Dustin watch out after a few more trips..you may in up on the back of the boat because this girl can fish!

Dustin started out with topwater plugs with good success and Sara with soft plastics. They caught fish after fish, Sara held her own. Dustin would gain 3 or 4 and Sara would come back strong, Even taken the lead several times. Bottom line, it was a great day of fishing in the Everglades for these two today.

The water today was in the 80’s, cloud cover off and on all day and even more so in the afternoon. A nice breeze came from the west keeping it very comfortable most of the time. After it was all said and done, I lost count but Dustin said, they top 125 Florida bass today.

I don’t think they know it yet, but theres going to be some sore arms tomorrow…but that’s a great ache to have!

If your in the area of the Everglades in South Florida and would like to get out and experience true Everglades bass fishing at it’s best! Remember, we also offer fishing in the Orlando area as well as Miami for the hard fighting Peacock bass.

Give me a call or email,

I look forward to talking fishing with you!

Tight Lines,
Capt Todd
